At a press conference on March 24, Animal Welfare Sweden presented the nationwide survey, “How are the animals that provide us with food treated?” The result clearly showed that Swedes’ awareness and commitment regarding animal welfare and label of origin are increasing. Environmental and quality managers from ICA, Axfood and Coop found out that eight out of ten Swedes think that it is important how animals are bred, raised, transported and slaughtered, etc.
